With the launch of our new Dental Specialist Centre Mango Hill, we are excited to announce our highly qualified and experienced specialists who have joined our team.
Dr Terence Alexander
Firstly, we welcome Dr Terence Alexander who is a qualified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Dr Alexander obtained his Bachelor of Dental Science degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1987 which he then received the PROSSA prize for clinical fixed prosthodontics, and the Lester Brown award in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery.
After serving 2 years as a Lieutenant in the military, in 1995 Dr Alexander was then selected and completed a fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in South Africa. He then went on and graduated in 1997 with a master’s degree of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr Terence Alexander has extensive experience in severe maxillofacial injuries, facial trauma, oral surgery and pathology, dental implantology, reconstructive and orthognathic surgery.
He performs varies procedures such as wisdom teeth extractions, dental extractions, corrective jaw surgery, Temporomandibular joint disorder, jaw cysts, sinus lift and bone grafting procedures along with dental implant placement.
Professor Vasilios Chronopoulos
We also like to welcome Professor Vasilios Chronopoulos who is a specialist Prosthodontist and works for Dental Implants & Aesthetics. Professor Chronopoulos obtained a MS and PhD in Dental Biomaterials from the school of dentistry, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, and a certificate in Prosthodontics from Marquette University in Milwaukee, USA.
Professor Vasilios Chronopoulos specialises in recreating natural smiles using specialist restorative services including the restoration of broken teeth with veneers, crowns, fixed tooth replacement as well as removable tooth replacements.
Dr William Luong
We also like to welcome the whole team from Medland Orthodontics and extend a warm welcome to Dr William Luong. Dr Luong attained his dental degree at Griffith University in South East Queensland, afterward working for several years as a dentist on the Gold Coast. He then pursued further study in Orthodontics at the University of Adelaide which gave him his specialist orthodontic qualification and has attained his membership in Orthodontics with the Royal College of Surgeons and with the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons.
Dr William Luong offers treatment to all ages of children, teenagers, and adults! He also offers multiple treatment options such as 4 different types of traditional bracers, Invisalign and offers treatment using 3D technology to ensure the greatest possible outcome for all patients.
Dr Mohammed Mansour
We also like to welcome our second Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon to the practice, Dr Mohammed Mansour. He graduated with honours from Cairo University in 1990 from the Faculty of Medicine.
Dr Mohammed immediately sought surgical training in Ears, Nose & Throat surgery and practised as an ENT specialist until 1999, later once he and his family moved to Australia completing his specialist fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2009.
Dr Mansour practices all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery including impacted teeth, facial trauma and deformities, oral pathology with a special interest in full mouth rehabilitation using dental implants. We are very excited to have two Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons joining our team!
Having these specialists in the Moreton Bay region can accommodate local patients without the hassle of travelling north to the Sunshine Coast or further south towards Brisbane CBD. Our practice is located at 1-3, 1 Halpine Drive in the Mango Hill Market Place on Level 1 just above Sushi Train. The location is easily accessible being just off the motorway and ample free car parking is available for all our patients.
